LAST STOP ON OUR ROAD TO THE TOUR.
Tour de France: Experiencing the Magic of Cycling First-Hand
Every journey has a destination. Ours ended where millions of cycling fans dream of being every summer: the Tour de France.
After months of work, meetings, design, and excitement, the moment had finally arrived to experience first-hand everything we had been preparing for. Because being part of the Tour is about so much more than watching a race. It's about feeling the emotion that fills every kilometre, witnessing the passion of the fans who wait for hours by the roadside.
For several days, we had the privilege of immersing ourselves in the unique atmosphere surrounding the world's greatest cycling race. We shared the roads with thousands of fans, cheered on the riders from just a few metres away, and experienced one of the Tour's most iconic finishes from the inside: Alpe d'Huez.
Anyone who has been there knows it's difficult to describe the feeling. The hairpin bends packed with spectators, flags waving in the wind, the sound of cowbells, applause, cheers, and the unique mix of anticipation and excitement that transforms every climb into an unforgettable spectacle. For a few hours, the mountain stops being just another road and becomes the beating heart of world cycling.
But this trip was about much more than experiencing the Tour as spectators.
We also had the opportunity to do what brings us together the most: ride our bikes. We shared kilometres as a team, enjoyed spectacular routes, and took on some of the most legendary climbs in Tour de France history, including the iconic Alpe d'Huez.
Climbing a mountain you've watched on television countless times completely changes your perspective. Every corner tells a story, every gradient recalls legendary attacks, unforgettable victories, and moments that have shaped the history of our sport. Riding those same kilometres was both a privilege and a reminder of why we fell in love with cycling in the first place.
Beyond the bike, there was also time to simply enjoy being together. Because some of the best memories are made after the ride is over. Conversations around the table, stories from the day's ride, laughter, and those small moments that strengthen a team are often the ones that stay with you the longest.
This journey has been the perfect ending to a road that began long before the Tour itself. A journey built on effort, commitment, and teamwork that allowed us to become part of an experience we'll never forget.
We would like to thank everyone who made these days possible, and especially Team Caja Rural–Seguros RGA for welcoming us into this adventure and making us feel part of it from day one.
We leave with much more than photographs. We leave inspired, with new lessons learned, shared kilometres, and memories that will stay with us forever.
Because there are first times you never forget.
A first time to remember forever.
