GSPORT JUMPS TO PORTUGAL WITH THE SABGAL ANICOLOR CYCLING TEAM

Sabgal Anicolor Cycling Team, one of the nine teams in the Portuguese peloton with UCI Continental category, joins the Gsport family.

We are very pleased to announce our jump to Portugal with the Sabgal Anicolor team. On January 29th, we had the opportunity to attend the presentation of the team in Águeda (Portugal).

"For Gsport it is a challenge to dress the Portuguese team. With Portugal, there are already 4 countries where we will be present this year and where we will try to forge a good foundation for the international expansion of the brand" explains Aitor Meléndez, CEO of Gsport.

Rúben Pereira, sports director of the Sabgal Anicolor cycling team, shares with us the team's objectives for 2024:

"In terms of the schedule ahead of us, this is a very well-structured team, where everyone knows their role. The spirit is always to race to win. In this new season we will have 120 days of racing and we will split the team six times throughout the year, which will involve a lot of logistics. We want to make this Portuguese team, the Sabgal Anicolor, known internationally".

In addition to being part of the UCI Continental category, the team also has a good pool of young cyclists. An academy where they are trained and coached to reach elite cycling and, in many cases, to be able to move to the first team. It currently has 30 children who practice various cycling disciplines, including mountain and road cycling. This initiative is now in its third season.

To face this intense year of races, the team will wear in its official kit: a jersey developed exclusively for the team and the Aero bib shorts model, a garment available in our GSPORT CUSTOM cycling clothing section.
